Lena Dahlberg took up a post as Guest Researcher at the Aging Research Center in September 2012, and is a member of the Social Gerontology group. She is also a Lecturer in the School of Education, Health and Social Studies at Dalarna University (since 2009). Previously, she has been based at Stockholm Gerontology Research Center (1994-1995), Dalarna Research Institute (1995-2004, 2009-2012) and Sheffield Hallam University (2004-2009) in the UK. She received her PhD in Political Science from Stockholm University in 2004.
Lena’s primary research interests include: 1) care and support for older people and their informal carers, 2) social exclusion, community and loneliness in old age.
