About me

BSc in Mathematics and Physics 1975 at Stockholm University. Teacher education at Uppsala university 1980. Master of Science in Biophysics at Stockholm university 1997.

Employment as engineer/ technician by the Division for Geophysics at the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) 1976-1980 and as teacher in Sigtuna 1981-1988 . From 1988 employed by Karolinska Institutet. Chairperson for the International Committee of the Biomedical Science programme.


Teaching interest
My teaching interest are medical engineering and statistics. I am a course director for the courses Scientific Methods including Work organization and management 7,5 hp at the Biomedical Science programme, Basic course in biomedicl science 7,5 hp, Sensors and measuring systems 7,5 hp at Södertörn university collage (SH) and Medical engineering in intensive care and surgery 7,5 hp at Royal Institute of Engineering (KTH) and SH

Research description

Research interest
From 1997 part-time research at the department for Biophysics and Biochemistry at Stockholm University as PhD-student. The aim of the study have been to look into the role of the A-beta-peptide in Alzheimer´s disease by spectroscopic methods like NMR, CD, IR, UV/VIS.
