About me

Teaching
At present I primarily teach two of the courses that make up the final term of the nursing education programme: Course leader and tutor/examining teacher for the course Degree work in Nursing, and seminar leader/examining teacher for the course Care of the elderly in a changing life situation. I also hold regular case seminars on issues concerning leadership and communication.

Research

My research area: Communication and shared decision making in treatment decisions.
Current research project: Communicative applications in conversation meetings between the elderly and institutional representatives. Other participants in the project are Barry Saferstein, professor of communication science at California State University, San Marcos, USA and PhD in cognitive sociology, and Ulla Hellström Muhli, associate professor of sociology at Uppsala University.
Another project, which builds on the above, involves examining how research results can be transferred and become applicable in the clinical education environment.
