I have a Doctoral degree on Cannabis Research and Mental Health, from Karolinska Institute. In October 2014, I defended my thesis "cannabis, schizophrenia and other psychoses: longotudinal studies on Swedish concripts". I have also a Bachelor degree in Medicine from Universidad de la Sabana, Colombia, and a Masters degree in Public Health Economics, Karolinska Institutet.
My research was primmarily focused on Cannabis Research, and risk factors, prognosis and mortality of subjects with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and depression. I applied various statistical methods to a large amount of longitudinal data including Swedish population with demographic, socioeconomic and clinical information. I also worked as managing editor for the European Journal of Public Health. My tasks were to report directly to the Editor in Chief, reviewers, authors and oversees all aspects of the publication.
At the moment I am involved in a project on Health Care service inequalities in diabetes and cariovascular care in Stockholm County.
