I work as a financial manager at the Post-Contract Office (PCO) which means I do many different things. PCO is a team within the Grants Office (GO) that supports researchers and institutions in project handling in financing from the EU and the US. This ranges from start-up meetings in large projects which Karolinska Institutet is the coordinator as well as to ensure that unauthorized charges are removed from project reports.
I work with EU projects and US projects (USA) owned by the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) and a coordinator EU project owned by the Department of Laboratory Medicine (LABMED). I handle the grants from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and NIH at the Department of Women's and Children's Health and at the Department of Medicine, Solna.
At the PCO I’m also in a specialized groups concerning
- audit (independent review)
- internal invoicing of core facility cost
- excel templates
I and my team are active in the US network of NCURA, the europan EARMA and the Swedish network of research administrators.
