About me

  • MD specialist in clinical chemistry. Postdoc in Jovan Antovic group at MMK
    with a research focus on the development of extracellular vesicles assays.
    After receiving her medical degree from the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm
    in 2007, Charlotte did her internship at St:Görans Hospital, Stockholm,
    followed by residency in clinical chemistry at Karolinska University
    Hospital. She is a MD specialist in clinical chemistry since 2019 and
    responsible for routine hematology assays, platelet dysfunction assays and
    fetomaternal transfusion assays at Karolinska University Laboratory. She
    teaches on hematology assays and anemia assessment for medical student at
    Karolinska Instituet
    She defended her thesis, “Strategies to assess and improve prognostication
    of plasma cell disorder”, in March 2021 at Center for Hematology and
    Regenerative Medicine, department of Medicine Huddinge, Karolinska
    Institutet. In summer 2021 she joined Jovan Antovic group as a postdoc. Her
    research focus is the development of extracellular vesicles assays to utilize
    as prognostics markers primarily in cancer associated thromboembolism.
