I am currently doing my residency at the Department of Oncology at Karolinska University Hospital. I was registered as a PhD student at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutetat in 2015. Since then I am combining clinical work with research in cancer epidemiology.
MD, Karolinska Institutet, 2010.
BSc, medicine, Karolinska Institutet, 2008.
The primary focus of my research is in cancer epidemiology with an emphasis on sex differences in cancer incidence and survival. I handle large volumes of data by linking several Swedish registers with high national coverage. This enables robust analyses of trends over different time axis. I apply a relative survival framework when estimating cancer mortality.
I am particularly interested in developing interactive, pedagogic tools for presenting my research findings.
I am engaged in seminars in clinical oncology as a part of the medical education at Karolinska Institutet.
