About me

  • I am a specialist in radiology and I am working at the Nuclear depatment, Karolinska University Hospital, Solna since 2022.

    I am also process manager in Radiology, RCC, (Regional cancer centre), Sotckholm, Gotland. Main supervisor to PhD Ann Mari Svensson.

Research

  • In my research, my thesis and earlier research focused mainly on infants, children and 


  • adults born small for gestational age (SGA) or preterm. During my two
    post-doc periods I studied different cohorts of preterms and SGA infants,
    children and adults investigating their metabolic status and out-come in
    relation to growth and gender as well as birth weight and length of
    gestation. We have found associations between early birth and elevated
    systolic blood pressure but also metabolic differences relating to glucose
    intolerance in these two groups of low birth weight infants and children.

     

  • The last years I have initiated several radiological studies with focus on COVID-19 and mainly ICU-treated COVID-19 patients. 


  • My current research is focusing on neuroencrine tumors, the adrenals and trauma associated radiology in patients treated at Karolinska University Hospital .

     

Teaching

  • My teaching activity is focused on medical students at Karolinska
    Institutet, I teach at medichal term 4 and 7. Since 2018 I have had the opportunity to be mentor for a group 


  • of medical students and follow them through their medical studies (Strimman
    Professionell utveckling). I have also initiated a course for resident
    physicians trainees in radiology entitled “Course in basal scientific
    radiology” with the purpose to give a scientific insight for clinicians
    that are not doctoral students. This course has been given five times since 2018.
