I did my PhD at Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia) in the field of molecular biology, the title of my thesis being “Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) IGF-I: characterization of cDNA, genomic sequences, and regulation of mRNA expression”. After 15 years in a biotech/pharmaceutical company I did the Genetic Counsellor education at Uppsala University. In 2009 I started as research genetic counsellor in Prof Caroline Graffs group "Translational Genetics in Neurodegenerative disease" at NVS. Today I work in projects focused on the identification of biomarkers that would enable early diagnosis for Alzheimer disease and Frontotemporal lobar degeneration . My organizational role in our group is team leader of Clinical Genetics.
