Workshop on GRANT WRITING for Marie Curie applicants

This is a workshop consisting of 3 occassions. Before registration, make sure you are able to attend all 3 workshops. Workshop 2 and 3 will be for a limited number of participants.

Workshop 1 - May 13 at 09.00-11.00

Learn to organize and compose your thoughts and apply winning writing principles within your next proposal. The workshop is presented by Angelika Hofmann, Deputy Director of Corporate and Foundations Relations at Yale Universities Office of Development and author of Scientific Writing and Communication  Papers, Proposals, and Presentations and the recently published Writing in the Biological Sciences. The overall goal of this workshop is to teach grant writers how to achieve maximum impact and success with the reader and reviewer in mind.

Workshop 2 - May 14 at 09.00-11.30

Participants will learn how to apply essential principles to writing a clear grant proposal in this practical workshop.

  • Preliminary Results section
  • Research Design and Methods
  • Common problems to avoid
  • Other proposal sections (as needed)

Workshop 3 - May 16 at 08.30-11.30

Venue: Campus Solna (specific to be announced to selected researchers)

Participants will learn how to edit and evaluate the main sections of a grant proposal.

  • Editing and evaluating Abstract, Objective, Specific Aims and Significance
  • Other proposal sections (as needed)
  • Submission and Revision
