Seminar: Neurovascular interactions in neuroinflammation - Mechanisms, imaging and therapeutic potential

2013-02-1513:00 Samuelsson lecture hall, Tomtebodavägen 6, Solna campus

Speaker: Dr Katerina Akassoglou, PhD.

Katerina Akassoglou is Senior Investigator at the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease and Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, USA.

Her aim is to understand the mechanisms that control the communication between the brain, immune and vascular systems with the ultimate goal to design novel therapies for neurologic diseases - and in particular, multiple sclerosis.
