What's the main focus of your thesis?

Preoperative treatment selection and magnetic resonance imaging in rectal cancer.

Which are the most important results?

There is room for improvement regarding both preoperative treatment selection, especially among patients with comorbidity, and magnetic resonance imaging in rectal cancer.

How can this new knowledge contribute to the improvement of people's health?

Enhanced treatment selection may optimally lead to improved long term oncological outcomes and reduced treatment-associated morbidity in rectal cancer.

What are your future ambitions?

First, to finish the studies of the thesis and thereafter continue with clinical research combined with clinical work as a colorectal surgeon.
