Medical Case Centre are promoting interactive learning in international health professional education

The Medical Case Centre (MCC) is dedicated to supporting educational excellence at Karolinska Institutet and the Karolinska University Hospital by promoting the creation of authentic and relevant learning activities, stimulating interprofessional collaboration and aligning medical education curricula at all levels. To that end, MCC works with KI and Karolinska University Hospital educators in the adoption of case-based learning; conducts international courses, seminars and workshops; develops learning materials; and seeks out and applies best practices in international medical education.

The MCC is actively cooperating with the World Health Organization in the area of interactive learning. Currently, MCC is engaged in a comprehensive interprofessional project involving the education of medical doctors, different kind of nurses, primary health workers and midwifes.

The Medical Case Centre was founded in 2004 by Björn E. Eriksson, M.D., Ph.D., Senior Consultant in Cardiology.
