Pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC)

Breast cancer during pregnancy represents a clinical dilemma. Because women tend to postpone childbearing to older age, the incidence of breast cancer coinciding with pregnancy is increasing.

Project description

Project goals/aims: To improve the understanding of pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC), defined as breast cancer during pregnancy or within two years following delivery.

Material: The Swedish National Cancer Register, six Regional Quality Registers on Breast Cancer, the Multi-Generational Register and other databases, medical records and tumour specimen.
