ASC-INCLUSION

Computer based interaction for children with NDD.

ASC-inclusion is an internet-based platform who aims to bridge the difficulties with communication and interaction children with neurodevelopmental disorders often have. The platform combines several of the most recent technological achievements and is capable to read the users gestures, facial expressions and expression of voice by the use of microphones as well as webcams. The tool therefor combines several advanced techniques, such as the interpretation of the user’s gestures, facial expression and expression of voice with games, animations, video- and audio clips.

In ASC-inclusion the user environment can be adapted, both from the users wishes and from individual skills, challenges, and motivational needs. Via ASC-inclusion also a caregiver can be given an environment for information support, information about the child’s use and progress, and chat/forums for parents and teachers.
