On Saturday 30 August you are welcome to an Open House in Aula Medica, KI Campus Solna, with an interesting lecture program, opportunity to meet some of our researchers and fun activities for families with children. At the same time you can visit the construction site of New Karolinska Solna and learn more about the future hospital. Time: 11.00-15.00. Welcome!

After the lectures you are welcome to ask questions to the presenters in our Researchers’ corner.

Childrens actvities

On the ground floor you will find activities for families, where both children and adults young at heart can meet researchers and students from KI. Here you can e.g. experiment with dry ice, look closely at the body through microscope, listen to your heart and learn more about the cells in our paint shop. Those who dare can get a wound that does not hurt in the station for body painting. Balloons are distributed to all children.

After a long hot summer, many people are waiting to get started with their training. Do you lack motivation and is looking to get inspiration for the fall? Visit physiology researcher and personal trainer Eva-Karin Gidlund and get tips on how to get started after the summer.

Learn more about the building

There will be guided tours of Aula Medica for those who are curious to learn more about the building and the art in the house (in Swedish).


Light lunch will be on sale in Café Jorpes and in Curbside Foodtruck.
