Sports day Feb 18
Wednesday the 18th of February it is time for this semester’s Sports day, where all students are invited to partcipate in sports acitivities that the Sports Committee offer. Some of the activities need to be registered for in advance, so make sure to read all the information about the sports you are interested in.

Time and place: 14-16, Liljeholmshallen 1, Mejerivägen 4
The activity starts with 30 minutes football as a warm-up. After that we practice basic passing/throwing techniques, warm up the goalkeepers and try different game positions. The remaining time (30-45 minutes) we play handball matches with teams that are compiled by the number of participants, as well as go through the basic rules and game features.

Rookie or master climber? Doesn’t matter! Come climb with us at Klättercentret in Solna (Banvaktsvägen 20) between 3:15-5:15pm. We are going to have teachers/instructors on site that will help you with the climbing.
Cost? 130 kr for entrance, shoes + harness.
As previously mentioned; no previous climbing experience needed! What is needed though is registration in advance: send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before Wednesday the 11th of February to secure your spot. REGISTRATION = MANDATORY PARTICIPATION! Make sure to note in the email if you want to participate in class with the instructors or if you are already an experienced climber and just want to go for a session.
The lacrosse is held as usual in the exam hall at campus Solna between 17-19 where the experienced instructor Kim Vestö leads the sessions. Take this chance to try an odd but funny sport! Join the facebook-group “KI Lacrosse” for more info about the weekly sessions.
Don't miss the oppurtunity to enjoy yourselves outside this winter! Come iceskating with us at Östermalms IP, Fiskartorpsvägen 2, between 10 and 12 on the sports day. An icetrack and an ice-skating rink will be available, as well as the possibility to rent skates for 50kr/hour. (NO HOCKEY STICKS ALLOWED). If you want to rent skates you have to apply in advance. Send an e-mail to email@example.com by 11/2 at the latest. If you own a pair of skates, just show up! You can easily get to Östermalms IP with bus 73 from Karolinska Institutet. See you there!!
Come and play volleyball with us in Frescatihallen! The tryouts for “MedSM” will be held.

When: 19-20 (7-8pm)
Where: Eriksdalsbadet (Skanstull)
Bring (optional): goggles and swimming cap (if you have long hair). And swimming apparel ofcourse.
No previous experience is needed - just come and try it out!

Friskis & Svettis Hagastan offers all KI student free training at their gym during the whole day. Don’t forget to bring your KI student ID or Mecenat card!
The tryouts for “MedSM” will be held. Come and do your fastest 50m or just swim for fun. Bring your own lock!

We have booked 4 courts between 12am-16pm for the KI students to use in Frescatihallen (Stockholm University). (OBS! Do not play on courts that aren’t booked for us, the Sports Committee will be charged extra) Rackets and balls are available for rental on site. Bring your KI student ID or Mecenat card to prove that you are a KI student. Drop in.
