Rosa Willock - Master of Bioentrepreneurship student from UK
Of all of the programs similar to the Masters Program in Bioentrepreneurship, [KI] offers the most opportunities to learn from real life.
Rosa came to Karolinska Institutet from Manchester, England. Despite being from one of the worlds football meccas, she isn't the biggest football fan, but she is a big believer in the Bioentrepreneurship Programme here at KI. In her student blog, Rosa documents her path from biochemistry into business. A journey that she has credited with taking her from the analytical mindset of the lab and introducing her to the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship.
So far Rosa has been impressed by the Bioentrepreneurship Programmes emphasis on increasing student employability through networking opportunities, while at the same time teaching important skills such as team work and effective communication. Outside of class, her best memory has been exploring cabin life in the Swedish woods with her classmates. An evening of dinner, traditional Swedish sauna and freezing midnight dip in the lake left her feeling that:
The best thing about living in Stockholm is that you [can] spend the night at a beautiful lakeside cabin without even leaving the city.
