Mayo Clinic is an American organisation in the health care field spanning from treatment to education and research across the United States. Karolinska Institutet and Mayo Clinic currently work together to share and develop innovations in education.

Requirements for the Global Bachelor’s Programme in Biomedicine

The Global Bachelor’s Programme in Biomedicine requires a higher level of completed study in the following subjects; mathematics, chemistry, and biology. 

To meet the requirements for chemistry and biology from an American high school education, you must have successfully taken Advanced Placement (AP) tests in these subjects. For mathematics, AP Calculus is required. If you have not taken AP tests in these subject but have studied them on a higher level, you must upload the curriculum from your school for University Admissions to assess and possibly give you these qualifications. Requirements for Global Master's programmes

The basic entry requirement is a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US college or university. Your official transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to University Admissions in Sweden. Please do not send a copy of your cover sheet to the university you are requesting a transcript from. If they send your transcript along with your cover sheet to University Admissions in Sweden, your transcript documents will be rejected.

Student loan rules for North American students

Students from the USA can defer their student loans during their time of study at Karolinska Institutet. Citizens of British Columbia in Canada are also now eligible for student loans for the tuition fees at our university.
