All international students and Swedish students taking the Global Master's and Bachelor's Programmes are invited to an introduction week on 22-26 August 2016, containting important arrival and preparatory information for your coming life in Stockholm.
The five-day programme begins with a basic introduction course to the Swedish language. If you cannot attend this first Swedish course, you can join an evening course during your first semester.
Students who do not wish to take the Swedish course are encouraged to join the activities on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August 2016.
Be sure to pick up your welcome package if you attend introduction week. This is handed out at Karolinska Institutet on the Thursday, after the intital days of Swedish classes. If you cannot join the introduction, you can pick up your welcome package at your mandatory programme introduction.

You are welcome to register for the orientation week if you have accepted the offer. A preliminary schedule is set. You will also be sent the schedule and registration link via email together with other important information, so do check your inbox frequently, including your SPAM filter.
A mandatory programme introduction for students admitted to all programmes at Karolinska Institutet will be held on 29 August 2016, unless otherwise notified by your programme.
You will receive information about the time and location of the introduction in the welcome letter from your programme director, which will be sent out during the spring semester. At the programme introduction you will be given a general overview of the programme and a schedule for the first semester.
Freestanding course students should contact their teachers for information on roll call. Contact information is available on the programme and course websites.
Individual introduction sessions
For exchange students arriving during other parts of the semester (not in September or January), a shorter individual introduction session is arranged with your international coordinator at Karolinska Institutet.
