Is a PhD position your next career step? Come and listen to Career Service's lunch seminar on PhD-studies.

KI has over 2000 registered doctoral students which mean that we educate one third of all doctors in medical science in Sweden. The doctoral students contribute to a great extent to the research performed at KI and there are plenty of opportunities for stimulating educational environment within many different research areas. A doctoral (PhD) degree is the highest academic degree in Sweden, and it is earned after four years of doctoral education and passing a public defense. To complete a doctoral education means to devote oneself to a research project under supervision of an experienced researcher and to follow an individual study plan.

Robert Harris, Director of Doctoral studies, will give you more information on the process and PhD-students Matilda Liljedahl who combined medicine studies and research and Frank (Chenfei) Ning alumnus from KIs master's programme in Toxicology now doing research at MBB will share their experiences.
