The call addresses collaborative projects between stakeholders from healthcare, academia and industry. Projects should have an innovative potential for the improved prevention, diagnosis, monitoring or treatment of diseases or other conditions that require or may require medical care. The call is made in collaboration between the strategic innovation programs Swelife and MedTech4Health.

The call will contribute to the improved prevention, diagnosis, monitoring or treatment of diseases or other conditions that require or may require medical care and will ultimately contribute to improved public health and meeting the goal of sustainable growth in the life science sector in Sweden. Its aim is to promote projects with great innovative potential that, in the long term, will increase the utilization of research and knowledge, which in turn leads to improved health, increased growth and international competitiveness. There should be a significant need and demand from the end-user (patients, individuals, users).

In order to apply, at least two of the sectors of healthcare, industry and academia must be partners in the project. Even foreign partners are welcome to participate, although not as coordinators or beneficiaries. Projects should be based on innovative and unique ideas that can be developed into strong new innovations via new products, services, processes or other quality or value-added solutions with a patient focus within, for example, medical care.

In this call, the grant may amount to a maximum of 50% of eligible project costs up to a maximum of 1 million SEK. The total budget allocated for the call is 15 million SEK. Deadline for application is January 27 (at 2 pm).
