Womens' health

Aila Collins groups research concerns womens health across the life span. Funded research projects have included research on mood changes during different phases of the menstrual cycle and diagnosing premenstrual syndrome using daily self-rating scales over a number of cycles. Aila Collins group has also studied the effect of treatment of premenstrual syndrome using an alternative medicine approach: supplementation with primrose oil in a placebo-crossover-design.

Research projects

In an ongoing study we focus on the psychosocial work environment by relating the stress felt by women in their work to biomedical parameters and cardiovascular risk.
