Cell-free DNA technology

2017-03-2810:00 to 12:00 Kursrum 1 (K64), Karolinska University Hospital HuddingeKarolinska University Hospital, Huddinge

Welcome to a seminar organized by MAF and Agena, addressing their cell-free DNA technology enabling mutation quantification down to 0.1% in frequency

Recent technological developments enable the use of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as cancer biomarkers, and potentially as a non-invasive substitute for biopsies. In this seminar, Dr. Pierre-Jean Lamy from Imagenome and Dr. Alexander Sartori from Agena Bioscience will discuss the current research applications of CTCs and ctDNA in cancer detection, and how highly-sensitive technologies can enable cost-effective liquid biopsy testing.

Beverages and light refreshments will be provided.
