How can a single cell give rise to the most complex organ known –the brain? This is the overarching question in neural development; knowing how such an intricate structure is assembled gives not only crucial knowledge about the brain itself but also important insight to the etiology of some our most common diseases. This one day conference gathers some of the greatest minds working on critical questions ranging from cell-specification to the creation of mature circuits in the brain.
