Programme presentation
Bioentrepreneurship is a relatively new social sciences field that combines biomedicine, natural sciences and technology with innovation processes and business administration.

The programme is interdisciplinary and provides students with a solid base in core fields such as business administration, entrepreneurship, business strategy, marketing, intellectual property and patents, product development and business development. The business administration courses are offered by KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology, through special arrangement.

The programme focuses on strategic and operative issues in the biomedical industry, and gives students in-depth knowledge of the processes and strategies needed to lead a successful project or company in this highly knowledge-intensive sector. As a key part of the programme, the students spend two internship periods at biomedical companies, public authorities, patent offices, university-based tech transfer units, venture capital firms or other relevant organisations in Sweden or abroad, and conclude their studies with an independent thesis.
